The emotional upheaval that takes place following a cancer diagnosis can create a profound sense of insolation that can be more devastating for those who have limited access to information and support. This isolation es particularly augmented by beliefs n the Hispanic culture about wellness, self-image and the preception upon them from other members of their families and friends which increase the suffering of Hispanic women diagnosed with cancer.
