ENTRE AMIGAS / AMONG FRIENDS

The emotional upheaval that takes place following a cancer diagnosis can create a profound sense of insolation that can be more devastating for those who have limited access to information and support. This isolation es particularly augmented by beliefs n the Hispanic culture about wellness, self-image and the preception upon them from other members of their families and friends which increase the suffering of Hispanic women diagnosed with cancer.

These are some of the types of survivors that we help:

  • Recently diagnosed patients

  • Survivors that have just undergone breast surgery

  • Those that are considering breast reconstruction or suffer from lymphedema

  • Patients during or after chemotherapy/radiation therapy

  • Those that face a reoccurrence or are in a terminal stage

  • Those that have medical bills with no insurance

  • Those that need legal and social services
